Alberta Health Services (AHS) delivers health services for the Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Health. Search the AHS website for health programs and services including home care, information on finding a doctor and hospitals in your area.

Do you have a health concern? Call Health Link (dial 8-1-1) (1-866-408-5465 if you are out of province or are an internet phone user). You will get advice from a registered nurse 24/7. The nurse will ask questions, assess symptoms and provide health advice.

Do you need surgery? The Alberta Wait Times Reporting Website provides an estimate of surgery wait times to so that you can discuss options with your health professional.

My.Health.Alberta.ca is a trustworthy source of information on aging, senior health and illness prevention. You will be able to search a comprehensive list of health topics; information on health related decisions; and how to support someone who is grieving.

McMaster University’s Optimal Aging Portal is a reliable, evidence based, source of healthy aging information.

Alberta Centre for Active Living maintains a searchable collection of resources related to physical activity, brain health and other health related issues for seniors.
